Reporting a bug

What to include so a Ruwa bug can actually be reproduced and fixed.

A bug that can be reproduced gets fixed. One that can't just sits there. The difference is usually the report.

What to include

  • Your Ruwa version
  • Your Windows version
  • Your GPU and driver version, if anything looks wrong on screen
  • The steps that trigger it, in order
  • What you expected
  • What happened instead
  • A screenshot or a short recording, if it shows something words don't

You don't need all of it to be useful. Steps plus versions already puts you ahead of most reports.

If a specific project triggers it

Sometimes a bug only shows up in one file. If that's the case, make a copy, strip out anything private, and attach the copy.

Where to send it

Post it in the Ruwa Discord server, or open an issue on GitHub if you'd rather have it tracked in the open. Either one reaches the developer.
